LATEST SQUASH NEWS
29 January 2008
The club had entered 6 teams in the 2007 Spring Pennant competition. The teams were in A5, B3, two C1 teams, C3 and C4. Mark Ireland's B3 team of Ian Jacobs, Dave Armstrong, Mickey Bek, and Paul Coggiola did very well by making it into the Grand Final against the very well coached Engadine. Unfortunately, the young Engadine side were just too good on the night and had a reasonably convincing win. Our best performer here was Mickey Bek who managed to win his rubber 3-2 against Daniel a very good young player. Because Engadine had won both their previous rubbers 3-0, the Grand Final was theirs and it wasn't necessary to play the 4th match.

SQUASH CLUB
21 July 2006
The new-format 2006 Autumn Pennant of six teams per grade is well under way. In this competition the club has eight teams entered: A3, A5, B1, B2, C1, C3 and two D1 teams. At the moment most of our teams are still in with a good chance of making the finals by getting into the top three. In the new format the top team in each grade goes straight into the grand final while the teams coming second and third play out a preliminary final for the right to challenge the top team in the grand final. Our best chances of getting into the finals at the time of writing were the A3, A5, B1, C1 and C3 teams, who are all coming fourth or better in their respective comps.
