The 2005 Autumn Pennant is now well under way with many of our seven teams still in with a chance of making the semi-finals.
At Round eight our A5 team was running sixth, our two A6 teams were first and fourth, B4 was fourth, C1 was sixth, C3 second and D1 eighth.
Perhaps our best chance of taking out a title lies with Sid Mir's A6 team.
The team consisting of Sid Mir (Capt), Brian Kable, Anthony Burke and Richard Chen have been in a class of their own this comp.
All players have been playing very well and have gone through undefeated on each night so far.
B4 and C3 are also looking to have great chances of taking out a pennant.
The monthly Round Robins are also well under way.
February's winner was Daryl Curtis, from Mike Damcevski and Peter Lupevski.
March was won by Peter Whitely from Chewy Lim and Brian Kable and April was won by Chewy Lim from Peter Lupevski and Peter Whitely.
At the time of writing, Chewy Lim leads the annual title on 10 points from Daryl Curtis (nine) and both Peter Lupevski and Peter Whitely on eight.
The competition is still very close and, really, a number of players could still win the end-ofyear title depending on their round robin results throughout the year.
Anyone wishing to find out more about the club can contact Peter Lupevski on 9952 8217 or 0408 462 659 or find us on the Leagues Club website www.stgeorge.org.au.
Until next time all the best and good squashing.
