We have enjoyed another great season of dancing.
We held a Chinese New Year dance when every dancer was encouraged to dress up in the St. George colours of red and white.
Our thanks to the band that specially played a beautiful Chinese song for our rumba program.
March was a busy month for the Committee as we organised two theme nights.
Green was the colour theme for St Patrick's Day and it was chocolates galore during the Easter night.
Every dancer received an Easter egg and there were Easter egg prizes for additional raffles drawn.
An Easter hat competition was held and it was won by Albert Oh and Beryl Bow.
A lot of effort must have been put into those hat creations.
We also had another fun night to celebrate Mother's Day where ladies were encouraged to wear a white flower.
Assorted sandwiches were served during these special theme nights when attendance was greater than 120.
The next special night of dancing celebrate Christmas in late July.
Ray and Margaret Higgs have resigned as Publicity Officer and Committee Member respectively.
We would like to thank Ray and Margaret for their invaluable assistance and support.
We regret to announce the recent death of our ex-President/ex-Treasurer, Mavis Wilson.
Some of our Committee members and members attended her funeral.
Our dance is held every Monday night from 8-11 pm at the Kogarah RSL Club, Railway Parade, Kogarah.
We dance to the beautiful tunes played by a five-piece band.
Free coffee, tea, cheese and biscuits are provided during the supper break.
During this break, keen dancers can continue dancing to the program and CD music especially selected by Albert and Nance Oh.
To encourage new dancers to the Club, Albert and Nance provide free dance lessons from 7.15 pm to 8 pm.
New dancers are most welcome to join in for a night of lovely music, dancing and loads of fun.
Entry is free and raffle tickets are sold with the chance of winning four $15 prizes.
At the end of each dance, a Monte Carlo dance is held with the cash prize that jackpots every week.
We hope to see you very soon.
