Congratulations to Julie Costello on being elected the Swimming Club's first female President.
It is a great achievement and everybody wishes her well.
Our winter swimming season ended in September and everyone is back to enjoying the wonderful weather on a Wednesday evening at Carss Park Pool.
The Water-Dragons touring team led by Arthur mattigly competed at Souths Juniors and over at Manly where for the second year in succession the team of Arthur Mattingly, Julie Costello, Gordon Carr, Pauline Webley, Jorn Jacobsen and Pam Sommerville won the Manly Shield.
Following on from the Water-Dragons assistance in the running of the Rainbow Club's charity fundraising event for handicapped children at the Cook & Phillip Park Aquatic Centre.
We have since been advised by the Leagues Club Management that the Club will donate $10,000 per annum to the Rainbow Club for the next three years.
Applause is due the Club management for its generous donation and Mr Bob Carr and his colleagues should take note.

Normie was a sportsman in the true sens of the word.
He always approached you with a smile and a tale to tell.
He was a good man.
All members wish to convey to his family their condolences.
He will be missed.
