An era of outdoor entertainment arrived at St George Leagues on May 25, when the Club opened its new open-air eastern terrace. The stylish space has added a new dimension to St George Leagues Club membership and adhered to comprehensive smoking bans which become effective on July 2.

Boasting 10 plasma televisions, a soothing water feature and bamboo gardens, the eastern terrace was opened with little fanfare by Club CEO Danny Robinson.

The 240sqm indoor and outdoor terrace off the gaming lounge and TAB area can seat 150 people serviced by a mobile bar and surrounded by 10 high-definition plasma television screens.The terrace is surrounded by a three-metre wall lined in timber and tiles to keep the noise in without drowning out conversation. This area adds an inviting outdoor recreation area for members as well as preserving a facility for members who wish to smoke," Leagues
Club CEO Danny Robinson said.

A smaller 45sqm terrace will also be built to the south of the Grange Restaurant to provide function attendees a place to smoke.
