It is with regret I report the passing away of one of our popular committee members, David Carmichael at his daughter's residence in Perth. David had not been well for many years; we will all miss him. Vale David. The Bowling Club sent a letter of condolence to his family.
The Bowling Club sent their usual donation to the Children's Ward of the St George Hospital Kogarah for the sum of $2,500.00.
The Annual General Meeting is set for Thursday, 20 September 2007 at St George Leagues Club at 7pm.
Bowls membership fees for 2007-08 can now be paid.
As most players will know we have relocated to our new green at Moorefield Bowling Club in French Street Kogarah. The green is playing well and is a credit to the greenkeeper.
To the Board of St George Leagues Club we extend our thanks for their assistance in helping us to relocate to Moorefield; as major works had to be done adjacent to our old green at the Leagues Club.
Any Leagues Club members wishing to play bowls will be made very welcome. It doesn't matter whether you have played bowls before or not, you can be taught how to play. We can lend you bowls while being instructed so you don't have to go to any expense. Phone the Bowls Secretary on 9587 6299 about 12 noon on Saturdays or Wednesdays.
To those on the sick list we look forward to seeing you back on the green.
